Undergraduate Internships

Farlingaye High School

Aimed at those studying for a degree focused on any of the Sciences, Maths and Engineering, undergraduate internships offers a taste of what it’s like to work in a school and is aimed at those who are potentially interested in teaching secondary Maths or Physics at a later date.

The programme is a government-backed scheme and is designed to provide a taster of what it’s like to be a teacher, work in a school and engage with young people. It provides opportunities for classroom experience and to be involved with students in a range of opportunities and situations. Previously it has been a paid internship of £300 a week, with successful applicants completing 3 weeks with our schools.

This year, the programme will commence on Monday 24 June 2024 and run for three consecutive weeks, finishing on Friday 12 July 2024.

If anyone wishes to express an interest please contact Ellie Colton, Deputy Headteacher at Farlingaye High School via email ecolton@farlingaye.suffolk.sch.uk
